Pricing.

ArgusLogs is free with a license key. There is no meter on every JSON line and no mandatory SaaS ingest tier — you run the packages, control storage, and generate keys for Development or Production environments.

Generate a license key

Quick-start licenses for local development and production. No account, domain, or IP registration — valid until 1 January 2028 on any host. Online verification runs inside ArgusLogs.core automatically.

Three key paths — not the same page

/get-license issues Development and Production keys with no login. /pricing explains the free license-key model versus ingest-priced APM. Subscription Manager keys (domain and IP bindings) are a separate path after you optionally create an account — they are not required to start.

Development vs Production generator keys

Development keys enable full features for local work. Production keys from the public generator work on any host until 1 January 2028. Both are created on /get-license without registration.

Subscription Manager

After an optional account, you can bind keys to domain and IP for projects. That is operations convenience, not a paywall for the library. Primary CTA remains generate a key, not create an account.

Compared to enterprise APM

Enterprise APM is often priced per host, ingest volume, or retention. ArgusLogs avoids ingest tax when you turn logging up during an incident. Tables: /compare/decision/cost. No invented APM list prices.

Get started

Generate a key at /get-license, install ArgusLogs from NuGet (current packages are pre-release/alpha), and follow /docs/getting-started. No credit card required.

What is ArgusLogs?

ArgusLogs is a production debugging and observability platform for .NET applications. It captures method, SQL, HTTP, and exception context through automatic compile-time instrumentation so teams can investigate production incidents without reproducing bugs or sprinkling manual log statements through business code.

Who is ArgusLogs for?

ArgusLogs is built for .NET developers debugging production systems, tech leads and engineering managers who need faster incident resolution, and CTOs or engineering directors who want production reliability without heavyweight SaaS agents on every .NET host.

What does ArgusLogs capture?

Where supported by your configuration and integrations, ArgusLogs records structured telemetry including API and HTTP traffic, request parameters, SQL from EF Core and ADO.NET, exceptions, trace IDs, and method entry/exit metadata.

How is ArgusLogs different?

Traditional logging depends on developers predicting what to log before an incident. ArgusLogs uses compile-time instrumentation to capture execution context automatically—parameters, SQL, HTTP, and exceptions in one correlated view—without sprinkling LogInformation calls through business code.

Frequently asked questions

Is ArgusLogs really free?

ArgusLogs requires a license key but does not charge per gigabyte of ingest. Production pricing policies may evolve — see /compare/decision/cost for the current model.
